My Weekly Installment of My Five Things to be Happy About Right Now: 
I was out last night at a BBQ and when I finally arrived home, I did not even turn on my laptop!
Here is my weekly post of my five things to be happy about right now:
1. Planting my petunias & geraniums !
2. Weekend BBQs
3. The smell of grilled food as DH and I take our nightly walks around the neighborhood!
4. Knowing where I will be substitute teaching this week! I love pre-bookings!
5. Feeling the sunshine on my back as I happily tend to my garden!

Today is my wedding anniversary.
I have been a wife for 5 years! WOW! I cannot believe how quickly 5 years has passed! I love my DH and I love being his wife. He is a great person, a wonderful man, and my best friend. He still keeps me guessing and he always makes me laugh. I am a lucky woman!
We both took the day off from our jobs to spend the day together. We went to a movie and then dinner. It was a nice date! We are also celebrating by treating ourselves to a trip to NYC this August!
Happy Anniversary!
I trip over nothing. I walk into things. I trip over chairs when I am teaching!
Well, today, I was talking to a customer and I slammed my thumb in the drawer! I yelped and then did not say a word. The customer said, "It's OK you can swear if you want. I wont tell!" LOL
This is not the end of my supreme skill of being a klutz.
I went to take the trash out by the outside dumpster. I was finished and I was going to close the door. Well, the rolling car moved and I became entangled and felt myself falling.......... and yep.... ate pavement!
The best part was a mall employee saw me do it. I was so embarrassed. I wanted to crawl into a hole! He ran over to help me up and make sure I was ok. Luckily I was able to avoid falling into some glass I saw as I was going down. I had on jeans, too, so no scrtached on the legs . I have a sore lower leg where it got caught on the rolling cart and my one hand is sore. Thank goodness for ice packs!
Hopefully tomorrow I will not injure myself.
I am not jumping like Snoopy today!
Last week, I feel like all I did was work, and then work some more! I am tired.... actually I have been telling the DH that I am exhausted!
These 6 days in a row between both jobs and the days when I really work over 10 hours between both jobs are a KILLER ! I hate to say it, but I miss those days in my twenties when I had so much more energy! LOL
I feel like dancing!
I came home after a long day of work and opened my mailbox. I discovered that I had a package. I eagerly opened it up and was SO EXCITED to see that I have been PUBLISHED AGAIN!
I submit ideas from my classroom to one of my favorite teacher magazines. They have bought a few and this past year I have seen my ideas in print three times!
It's seeing my ideas in print that makes all this subbing worth it! I love teaching and I love creating new activities in the classroom!
WOO HOO! CONGRATS TO ME !
I had the day off from both jobs today. NICE! It was sunny and I wanted to be outside. I decided to run some errands and just enjoy my free time!
I ended up at my local library. There is something about my library that I just love. Every time I walk up the steps I feel excited. As I walk through the doors, I look over at the tables and I immediately see myself as a middle schooler sitting there trying to do my homework or writing notes to my best friend. I love walking through the children's books section and rereading all those titles I enjoyed so much as a young adult.
Reading had always brought me such pleasure! My Mom always thought I would grow up to be a librarian. She, of course, did not tell me this until after I had chose a my degree in education! I am lucky, I can share my love of books everyday with the students I teach.
As I wandered around the library, I thought just how lucky I am to be able pick and choose whatever books I want! Reading is such a gift!
Five Things I am Happy About Right Now:
1. After 13 days of work I had a Sunday off!
2. I finished painting the DH's office and it looks awesome (If I do say so myself!)
3. The windows are open and the house is fresh and spring-like today!
4. DH bought me two new pair of summer shorts (Since NONE of mine fit me any more - they are TOO BIG!!)
5. A Sunday night to relax after a day of chores & hard work!

I wish they would grow all seaons. I guess that is why they are so special. They show up around April and are gone by June!
