It's Sunday Night!

Five Things I'm Happy About Right Now:

1. A Bright Sunny Sunday! In my town, we call this weather a spring teaser. Kids are outside playing, people are taking walks, and there are lots of cars at the car wash getting rid of that winter dirt and salt.

2. Knowing where I will be working on Thursday and Friday!

3. DH helping me make dinner.

4. Having one more day to myself before it is back to work!

5. One month closer to a new car!

Thursday Already!

Where did my week of vacation go to? I did not really work. I only tutored three days!
However...........

It is already Thursday! I wish I could stretch this week out a few more days. Before I know it , it will be back to work!

I wonder how many days until my April break. LOL

Ahhh... Saturday!

Super Saturday!!

I am not working my part time job ( I took a leave until summer ). I was worried about it, but now I am happy to have this extra weekend time to myself!

I had a nice day with the DH and my parents. We went to the auto show. I sat in a lot of cars. Then we had a nice early dinner!

Now I have a week off of teaching. I will be tutoring for three days which I enjoy and hopeful spending some time with friends!

AHHHH Vacation!

Yesterday, I was happily teaching in the same classroom I have been in for two weeks. The teacher was planning to return today. I waited and waited to hear from her. Once I did, I called my other district to respond to a job request since I was now available.

I waited and waited for her to call me back. She finally did at 9:00pm last night. Well, the job did not pan out.

Of course, at this point, I am not working when I thought I would be! This AM I get up early and wait for my phone to ring. NO CALLS. I am up and around 9:30 my friend calls because that classroom I have been in for two weeks had a NEW SUBSTITUTE! GRRRR!

I guess last night the teacher was called back by the hospital and had to return today. No one called me. I understand she thought I was working, but I so would have worked for her. I have been with her kids for two weeks.

This is the frustrating part of being a substitute teacher. GRRR!

Why oh why hasn't my job ship come in? It has been FIVE YEARS!
What is wrong with me ? Why do I see 25 year olds getting hired over me?? Where is that job that is suppose to be coming my way??

It is Sunday Night!

Five Things I am Happy About Right Now:


1. Superbowl.. I LOVE FOOTBALL!

2. Teaching in grade 2 again tomorrow!

3. Coffee with a good friend yesterday!

4. A nice short month.

5. One more week of work until my school's winter break!

What a week !

I have had an interesting week!

On Monday I went to turn in my car which I had leased for the past three years. I was very upset with the place I had leased from because the salesperson treated me like a I was an idiot. I am sorry, but if you talk down to me... well, I am done with you!

On Tuesday, I drove my DH's car to work. I love his car. I want his car, but he wont give it to me. LOL

On Wednesday, a friend picked me up for work. I have know her for twenty years. She is my oldest friend. It is funny how a you can know a person for a long period of time, not talk to them for awhile, and then reconnect time and time again and it was like the time never passed. I have to say it is comforting to have a friend like that.

We both have changed a lot over the years since we met in college. We are now both married, she has two children, I have no children. We are both teachers. She bought a house with her husband and I moved into my husband's house.. and yet we live a block away. We were both driving the same car. (until I just turned mine in... lol) She picked me up yesterday and we went to lunch together. We joked how as teachers we never get to go to lunch unless it is summer or a staff development day.

Today I am meeting another friend for coffee. We have not seen each other in awhile. Both busy with work and such. We use to meet every Sat for coffee, but it has been a busy year. Hopefully our ducks will get back into a row and that will happen again soon!

SO, yes..... what a week it has been!
