It's Winding Down !!

I went back to work yesterday.... well.... not really !

We had a meeting at school, then I did a little organizing. Today, I returned with some items I will need for the next three months. Then I worked with one of my partner teachers and we planned the first week. I was at school for three hours.

I have been stressing about the first week of school for awhile. Now I feel 50% less stress. I still need to find out what I am doing in the other classroom!

I have one more week of vacation and then it is back into full swing the day after Labor Day.

Yes, I love summer break, but it is winding down !

A few pictures !

I finally had some free minutes to post a few pictures from the first Nascar Race the DH and I went to a few weeks ago! We had a blast, and look forward to going to another race someday... Maybe a different course the next time around!!

I love Jeff Gordon. His car was not out at this point! BOO HOO! We had pit passes and it was pretty neat to see the cars before the race. I just happen to catch the pit crew pushing out Jimmy Johnson's car onto the track. We even saw hit crew chief in a golf cart. I just was not fast enough to get a picture. LOL
The beginning of the race! The DH took a ton of shots at this point!

One more picture to share!

It's Coming !!!!

"Resistance is Futile at Borg High"

ACCK!!!!!!!!!!

My summer break has about three weeks left. I have my first day on Sept. 1st! The first two days are meetings and workshops. I will be eased into my job slowly. Then hit full force the following Tuesday with students rushing the hallways.

I am nervous, excited, hopeful, and anxious. I feel just like the kids! LOL !
I have always loved fall and the smell of a new box of crayons. I guess it is a good thing I became a teacher!

Until then, I have some more swimming and sunshine to soak up!

Happy Friday !

My busy week has come to a close. I did not even get to swim this week. BOO HOO! That is a sign that August is moving along and I will be like the image above: BUSY TEACHER AT WORK !

Next week when I am doing nothing, but relax, visit a few friends, and of course I plan to swim!

My week started with going to the Nascar Race at a road track. It was great. Maybe next year the DH and I will get to go to regular track!

The DH and I went to a concert this week and we also went to a county fair. Today we saw Eat Pray Love and then had a yummy meal at Cheesecake Factory.

I am happy that my workshops are over. It was a long 4 days. I learned some new things and met some new teachers in the school.

I am sure now that I have been to this workshops the planning will begin!

Let's hope the next two weeks go by slow!! LOL

Happy Friday !

The DH will be dancing today after work. He is on vacation next week. He gets a double perk because I have to go for training for work next week. I am sure he will really enjoy his man space with me at work for a few days!

We have a lot planned. I am going to my first Nascar Race this Sunday. When I lived in the south it was the sport to watch. I have since added it to my love affair with sports.... hockey, football, and now Nascar. I use to be a huge baseball fan in high school, but that has since fallen by the wayside. The race should be a blast and I will post some pictures!

We are going to a concert, a fireman's picnic, and also the local county fair. I think we may also try to go to the local outside theater next week, too. With the training and all the other things going on, I will be a pretty busy all week. Thank goodness I still have two weeks of summer vacation after that!

Ahh... August...

August .... Already !

My summer is half over. It is a perk of teaching that I have two months of vacation. I have one more month to relax, swim, have lunch with friends, sleep in an extra hour, stay up late.

I have some workshops for my job, which will make it seem like work is even closer. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom. I am excited and nervous at the same time. It happens every year, but the first day always flies by even with my nerves and the newness of the school year!

But, for now.... I enjoy my summer break!
