I Am a Criminal !

I am a rule follower. I do not take risks. I am pretty straight and narrow. Well, I was until Thursday at 4:20p.m. I am now a criminal.

I was given my first ticket ever. I was parking my car to go get my hair cut. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw red flashing lights and a police car. I was on my cell phone... which is a BIG NO NO!

The police officer knocked on my window and I said, "I know why you pulled me over. I was on my phone." He left the car and I just knew I was getting a ticket. I have been driving for over 20 years and this was my first experience with being pulled over. I am VERY mad at myself b/c I am not one to talk and drive. I hate when I see people doing this. Now I am guilty!

I decided to plead not guilty with the hopes it will be reduced to a parking ticket. I am not looking forward to having to go to court, but I can try to get the fees reduced.

I will NEVER talk on the phone again. In fact, now I will just shut the phone off when I drive.. to avoid any temptation to answer the phone!
