I must say, I am really enjoying my work free weekend. It is Saturday night and I am home relaxing and this is so wonderful!
Friday I worked a quick four hour shift at my part time job. It was steady and went by quickly. After I bought a pair of brown cords and was given my check, I headed over to Barnes and Nobles. I love spending a cold winter afternoon sitting by the fire and reading a magazine. It is a nice way to end the week, relax, and just enjoy life! I met some friends that I have not seen in a long time. Working all weekend has kept me from having a lot of free time. It was great to just relax and chat!
Next, I headed to a few stores to browse. I ended up using one of my holiday gift cards for a new pair of shoes. ( I LOVE shoes! I would to be that gal in the commerical where it rains shoes and she is throwing them in her trunk! ) I have needed some new brown shoes for quite some time. I finally found a nice pair that seem like they will be great for those days when I am on my feet!
I came home to relax and web surfed for the rest of the night!
Today, I woke up and enjoyed my coffee and some Saturday news. I then went to mini-spin. I love this class for a lot of reasons. The teacher is great, she plays awesome music, and always tells me I am shrinking! I have not been there since September because I normally work Saturdays.
Later, I went to one of my favorite Italian resturants with some teacher friends. We all use to work together. Two gals still teach at the school. It was great to get together and catch up! For once, we talked about more than education !
Now I am enjoying some football! I love football. The season always goes too fast. I cannot believe I am watching a playoff game!! This is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Plus, no work on Sunday and more football for me! YAY!!
I am sure there are a lot of wonderful ways to spend a weekend, but for me this has been a great two days. It is a nice way to end the holiday season knowing it is back to work and subbing come Tuesday!
